Psilikatzou is a greek word used to describe the owner of a convenience store. This was my first book, following the popularity of my blog. As for the story, it was a combination of my blog's everyday stories from the shop along with my secret story of infertility.

The book was almost instantly a best seller although a painful experience, since I had to talk openly about infertility; a taboo back then.
Fortunately, the birth of my two kids gave this book a happy ending and to me, the courage to keep on writing.

From the book cover:

An online diary, a blog that made a bang (and still does). A girl that writes from her convenience store, day in - day out. Her stories from Nikaia, her weird customers; an Athens view that you rarely see in the news, Greece as we all know it but don't wan't to admit, pretending it doesn't exist.

This is only half the story.  The other half, is about her efforts to have a child; the infertility institutes, the gynecologists, the waiting rooms, the anxiety, the IVFs, medical exams through her month to month journey from one promise to another. ‘Psilikatzou’, in her own special way, makes this journey look like a challenge”.
